Rome, October 22, 2025 — Chimera Tech, with its SmartSailor project dedicated to digital boating and intelligent vessel management, took part in the 13th edition of Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition, held from October 17 to 19, 2025, at the Gazometro Ostiense venue in Rome.
The event, a major European showcase for innovation, recorded over 45,000 visitors in three days and attracted professionals, institutions and companies from across Europe.
The Lazio Region, as institutional partner, launched a call for participation in the regional collective, organized and coordinated by Lazio Innova, the implementing body of the initiative, aimed at selecting 20 startups and SMEs engaged in innovation and supported by the Lazio ERDF Program 2021–2027.
Following the selection process, Chimera Tech was evaluated and ranked among the top 10 companies, recognized for the high level of technological innovation and application maturity of the SmartSailor project.
During the event, Chimera Tech joined networking and matchmaking sessions organized by Lazio Innova, Lazio Region, ITA–ICE Agency and the fair organizers.
Known as “Investor Safaris,” these sessions brought together international investors, venture capital funds, corporate ventures and incubators from many countries, fostering a highly qualified and multicultural environment.
During the fair, Chimera Tech was also interviewed by “Civico 30”, the main media channel of the event, produced in collaboration with RAI and Ferrovie dello Stato Group, as part of the “Meet the Protagonists of Innovation” series.
Participation in Maker Faire Rome 2025 marks a further step in Chimera Tech’s growth path with SmartSailor, which now moves toward its industrialization and commercial development phase.
